In the context of new productive forces, physical education in vocational colleges is facing an urgent need for reform and innovation. New productive forces emphasize innovation, intelligence, and the application of green technologies, which have driven changes in education models, particularly in the field of physical education in vocational colleges. With the widespread use of information technology and big data, the traditional model of physical education can no longer meet the demands of fostering students' comprehensive abilities and vocational skills. This paper analyzes the relationship between new productive forces and physical education in vocational colleges, discussing the modernization and professional integration of teaching content, the construction and implementation of diversified teaching models, and the paths for enhancing teachers' qualifications and professional development. The paper also proposes mechanisms for resource allocation, teaching management, and school-enterprise cooperation to improve the quality and efficiency of physical education and promote its deep integration with industry needs. This research provides theoretical support and practical guidance for the reform of physical education in vocational colleges, aiming to cultivate high-quality, innovative talents who meet the demands of new productive forces.
