Abstract

The primary goal of this article is to delve deeply into how China's rich traditional culture can be effectively integrated into the curriculum of university English teaching, thereby significantly enhancing students' abilities in cross-cultural communication and helping them build confidence and a sense of identity in their own culture. To achieve this goal, the article employs a literature review approach, thoroughly combing through and analyzing existing related research; through case studies, it specifically explores how elements of traditional culture can be incorporated into English teaching in practical teaching processes; and by means of empirical research, it collects and analyzes relevant data to assess the effectiveness and impact of these integration approaches. Additionally, the article discusses the necessity and feasibility of incorporating Chinese traditional culture into university English teaching, as well as the challenges that may be encountered and potential solutions. Through these studies, the article aims to provide a new perspective and method for university English teaching, with the hope of helping students better understand and master English, while deepening their understanding and identification with Chinese traditional culture.
