Abstract

Integrating ideological and political education with traditional culture in higher vocational English teaching serves as an important approach to cultivating students’ comprehensive qualities and overall abilities. This study aims to explore how to achieve a collaborative education mechanism between ideological and political education and traditional culture within higher vocational English teaching. By analyzing the current status and challenges of higher vocational English teaching, the study discusses the significance of ideological and political education and traditional culture in English instruction, and proposes specific approaches including the setting of teaching objectives, content integration, methodological innovation, and evaluation optimization. The research shows that the collaborative education mechanism not only helps improve students’ English proficiency, but also enhances their cultural identity and ideological-political qualities, providing strong support for the reform and innovation of higher vocational education.
