This study aims to explore effective ways to integrate ideological and political education into university mechanical engineering courses to cultivate well-rounded engineering talents with both technical skills and moral integrity. By analyzing the core concepts of ideological and political education and the characteristics of mechanical engineering education, specific integration strategies are proposed. These include the optimization and design of course content, innovation and application of teaching methods, and the development and training of faculty. The effectiveness of these strategies is also evaluated. The research results indicate that the organic integration of ideological and political education can significantly enhance students' moral qualities and professional skills, promoting their overall development.
